New Guidelines from NICE ( National Institute for Health & Care Excellence), has some interesting advice on Sun related Health Benefits & Risks
1. Just a few minutes of unprotected sun exposure makes sufficient vitamin D, to have healthy bones and skin, immunity and protection against numerous types of cancer
2. take a balanced approach to get the benefits of sunlight without the risks. Too much time spent in the sun increases the risk of cancer.
3. Spend time outside between 11am and 3.pm from the beginning of April to end of October.
4. Once youve absorbed your vitamin D, take safe sun exposure advice: cover up, seek shade, wear broad spectrum UVA/UVB sun protection.
